Adrienna is working at the intersection of photography and textiles to create her punch needle embroidery compositions. She is drawn to the narrative quality that both photography and textiles possess, nostalgia being a prominent theme in her practice. Through reducing the subject matter in her work to simplified colours, shapes and fragments she explores how we recall memories, with a specific interest in travel destinations and souvenirs.
By working with a range of analog and digital processes including weaving, screen printing and photographic mediums, Adrienna earned her degree in Photography from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax, Canada.
Adrienna’s personal work has been shown in the MOCA Toronto, Cry Baby Gallery, Tacit Collective the Affordable Art Fair NYC, Maison et Object Paris, The Art With Heart Auction and the DesignTO Festival among others. Select press includes Colossal, Designboom, Living Corriere Magazine, CBC Arts, Frankie Magazine and The Globe and Mail. Her work has been procured by Earls Restaurants and international private collectors.
